Over the last six years of living in Vietnam and Thailand, I’ve used dozens of travel companies. The list below details the companies that I personally use when traveling in Southeast Asia.
Some operate in similar spaces, like Agoda and Booking.com, as well as GetYourGuide and Klook. However, Klook is slowly positioning itself as an all-in-one travel app in Asia.
Personally, I compare prices between companies for the best deals.

Accommodation
I’ve stayed in many great hotels at various price points in Vietnam and nearby countries.
● Agoda has been my go-to platform for hotel bookings in Southeast Asia and Vietnam since 2018. The mobile app is excellent.
● Booking.com is my backup for accommodations when Agoda doesn’t have deals or availability or doesn’t carry a specific property.
Airfare
● Google Flights has long been my favorite flight booking platform. It is a flight aggregator with the best search capabilities that I’ve found. You can track flight prices to see if you’re getting a good deal and set price alerts.
What I love is their ‘Anywhere‘ search feature. It’s a map that shows all possible flights and destinations from your current location. Just start with your current location under ‘Where from?‘ and then click ‘Anywhere‘ under ‘Where to?‘

Tours & Attractions
There is a lot to see and experience in Vietnam and elsewhere in Southeast Asia. Joining a local tour is a great way to experience the region’s countries. Entry tickets, walking tours, street food tours, half- and full-day tours, and more.
● GetYourGuide makes it very easy to book tours and excursions throughout Southeast Asia and Vietnam.
● Klook is a newer company that specializes in travel: hotels, tours, tickets, rail passes, and car rentals. You can also easily book airport transfers.
