The Liberty Central Saigon Centre Hotel is a 4-star hotel in a great location in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. If you want to be able to step outside your hotel and be right in the action, this is a good mid-range choice.
When you step outside the hotel, you’ll be directly on Le Thanh Ton Street, which runs all the way up to Japan Town (make sure to eat some ramen). Ben Thanh Market is 2 minutes to the left. The Independence Palace is less than 10 minutes away. Nguyen Hue Walking Street is less than 10 minutes away in the other direction.
Depending on your booking platform of choice, rooms start at around 1.400.000 VND to 2.000.000 VND per night (about $50 to $80 USD). I personally think this is good value, considering the hotel’s location. The hotel itself is a bit worn on the inside, but overall, it’s cozy. All of the staff I’ve interacted with are friendly.
The Liberty Central Saigon Centre has two nearby sister hotels: the Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint (see on Agoda / Booking) and the Liberty Central Saigon Riverside (see on Agoda / Booking).
The Citypoint is a nicer and more modern version of this hotel and is right around the corner, also in a great location. The Riverside is along the Saigon River, also in a great location. Many rooms have river views. All three are good hotel choices in Ho Chi Minh City.
Note: This isn’t a sponsored hotel review — I booked and paid for the room myself.

Staying at the Liberty Central Saigon Centre Hotel

I recently stayed at the Liberty Central Saigon Centre in Ho Chi Minh City. This was my second time staying at the hotel. I last stayed here a couple of years ago, and the hotel is exactly as I remembered: cozy, great location, nice staff, worn but clean rooms, and a solid breakfast buffet.
I stayed in their Deluxe Double or Twin room with a city view. The room is 24 m2 / 258 ft2. I also had the breakfast buffet. I booked this on Agoda for just over 1.400.000 VND per night.

The hotel is in a great location, right next to Ben Thanh Market. In less than 15 minutes, you can walk to the Independence Palace, the War Remnants Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Saigon Central Post Office, HCMC Book Street, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, the Saigon Skydeck, and more.
I’ve also stayed at the sister properties mentioned above, the Citypoint and the Riverside. The Citypoint is probably the nicest of the three hotels.
But all three are good options depending on taste and budget. They’re all in great locations in District 1. To be right in the middle of the action, the Saigon Centre and the Saigon Citypoint are best. To be down along the river, pick the Riverside. If it’s your first visit to the city, this guide covers things to do in HCMC.
The Saigon Centre’s spa and fitness center are on the 12th floor, along with the rooftop swimming pool. The fitness center is on the smaller side. If you are looking to exercise while in HCMC, see my guide to HCMC’s best gyms, some of which are near the hotel.

There’s also a small shaded seating area next to the pool. The bar is here.
The breakfast buffet hall is a decent size. It’s plenty big for families. And there are smaller tables tucked to the sides that are good for couples or solo travelers.

There were plenty of food options for breakfast. I personally usually have an omelette, fruit, and coffee in the mornings. Just something simple. But I saw plenty of people eating more typical dishes, noodles, etc., during breakfast.

Overall, I think that the Liberty Central Saigon Centre offers great value for money, especially considering its location in Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel is best for anyone who values location and clean, comfortable rooms, without needing something fancy. I’ve stayed twice, and I would stay again.
