The coffee culture in Vietnam can’t be beat. Hanging out, socializing, and people-watching at streetside cafes are part of the daily lifestyle here. I discovered NAM House Cafe in Da Nang a few weeks ago and have been back several times. This unique cafe is definitely worth checking out.

Getting There
NAM House Cafe is in the Hai Chau area (city side) of Da Nang. It is conveniently located on Le Hong Phong, just off the popular Tran Phu Street. It’s on a small side street, but you’ll have no problem walking here from nearby or taking a Grab taxi (download the Grab app here). There’s free motorbike parking outside the cafe, too.
NAM House Cafe

This is a unique coffee shop to visit in Hai Chau. The wooden seating, while not the most comfortable, adds to the overall experience of cafe culture in Vietnam.
There are a ton of antiques, souvenirs, trinkets, artwork, old motorbikes, and leather jackets to keep your eyes busy.
The menu at NAM House Cafe. Other than fresh coffee, there are smoothies, juices, yogurt drinks, teas, and more. The ladies working at the cafe are lovely—very friendly staff members here.

I usually order two coffees when I come here. I like to try different items. The coffee is fairly priced and fresh. On a recent visit, I tried iced peanut coffee, which was great—I’ve never had peanut coffee before. I also had egg coffee.
They also give you free cold water/tea with your coffee, which I always think is a nice treat.

The peanut coffee and egg coffee are 33.000 VND each.
On an earlier visit, I had iced coconut coffee and egg coffee.

There is a lot to see inside the cafe. I constantly wondered how someone accumulates all of this stuff. I found myself staring at the walls or walking around with my coffee, looking at things.
The following collection of photos is my walking tour of NAM House Cafe for you.

The bathrooms are in the back seating area of the first floor.
The first floor has air conditioning, but the second floor doesn’t. The windows are open upstairs, and there are fans. I like how they do this because it gives you a choice of being in the AC or having fresh air with a bit more natural light.
If you’re in Da Nang, I recommend coming here for coffee. The iced peanut coffee was great. Another nearby shop to check out is the Brewman Coffee Concept.
