I’ve worked out at several different gyms in Hoi An over the years. There are a bunch of gyms spread around town. Many of them are hit-or-miss as far as air conditioning, equipment quality, crowdedness, bugs, and location.
Like most gyms in Vietnam, you’ll have to make some sacrifices if you want a decent workout while visiting Hoi An.
🏨 Rêu Boutique Hotel (see on Agoda / Booking): This is a new-ish hotel inside the rice fields north of Hoi An Old Town. This hotel is near all three gyms in this article.
🎟️ Tours & Activities: My Son Sanctuary morning visit and learning to make Vietnamese coffee
More of my Hoi An guides: This one covers things to do in Hoi An, and this one covers where to stay, including An Bang Beach, the rice fields, and Old Town. If you’re headed elsewhere in Vietnam and looking to exercise on vacation, I’ve also covered gyms in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
Gym, Day Pass Costs & Locations
| Gym* | Day Pass Cost | Location |

FIT NATION

Location: Google Maps • Day Pass: 50.000 VND
FIT NATION has air conditioning and fans.
FIT NATION is one of three great gyms in Hoi An that are in the same general area north of Old Town. The other two gyms, which I’ll cover next, are more popular and usually more crowded.

A day pass to FIT NATION costs 50.000 VND, and this includes a towel. There is no water fountain, but they sell cold bottles of water at the gym. There are treadmills, machines, and free weights on the first floor. The second floor has more open space for classes and yoga mats for core work.

The owner is a very nice bodybuilder, and he also offers personal training. Over the many times that I worked out here, he was always training clients, most of them foreigners.
The overall space of this gym is smaller, so if you visit later in the afternoon, expect it to be a bit congested. I usually visited earlier in the day and had no problems using the machines and getting my workout done.
Superfit Gym

Location: Google Maps • Website • Day Pass: 50.000 VND
Superfit Gym has air conditioning and fans.
Superfit Gym is only a couple of minutes away from FIT NATION above. There is a small sidewalk in the front for parking your scooter or bicycle.

A day pass to Superfit Gym costs 50.000 VND, and this includes a clean towel. There is no water fountain, but they sell cold drinks inside the gym. There is also a smoothie bar for protein shakes on the front patio outside the gym.

This gym gets pretty crowded. I tried visiting earlier in the day, and it was still a bit busy. Expect to share machines with others and maneuver around people. Everything in the gym is spread out over one floor. There is a good selection of machines, free weights, squat racks, etc. There is a small functional training area and a small area for MMA training.

Like FIT NATION above, this gym has good air conditioning. But I personally didn’t like how busy it always was. But I guess that’s part of the trade of finding a good gym in Hoi An.
HealthFit Gym

Location: Google Maps • Website • Day Pass: 50.000 VND
HealthFit Gym didn’t have any air conditioning the times I visited. It was very hot, so keep this in mind.
HealthFit Gym is right across the street from Superfit Gym. This is good because you could poke your head in one, see if it’s busy, then go across the street to the other. Remember that HealthFit Gym doesn’t/hardly uses air-conditioning.
Here’s a video I filmed inside HealthFit Gym in Hoi An.
A day pass to HealthFit Gym costs 50.000 VND, and this includes a towel. They also sell cold drinks inside the gym. They also have a smoothie bar with protein shakes at the gym.
The machines and equipment are spread out over the first floor, and the class studio is upstairs on the second floor. The treadmills and core area overlook some of Hoi An’s rice fields. So if you’re lucky enough to visit on a nice day AND find an empty cardio machine, this could be a cool experience.

You can see the Rêu Boutique Hotel (see on Agoda / Booking) in the photo above. This hotel is surrounded by rice fields. I wrote about more great hotels in Hoi An here.
HealthFit Gym also has personal trainers. Whenever I visited, I saw several different trainers training guests. If you’re in Hoi An for a bit and looking for a trainer, I’d look into the personal training packages here or with the owner of FIT NATION above.
