I am not a vegan or vegetarian, but I’ve come to enjoy the cuisine over the last year. I discovered KURUMI Vegan Restaurant in Da Nang and have been eating here once a week for the last several months. It’s quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Da Nang.

KURUMI has a pretty full menu. There is a lot to choose from. As I said, I’m not a vegan or vegetarian, so some of these dishes are foreign to me. I’ve slowly been dipping my toes into different items on their menu, and everything so far has been great.

The first time I visited KURUMI, I had a sandwich with smoked tofu and caramelized onions and a quinoa salad with marinated artichokes. When I ordered, I wasn’t sure how big either item would be. Both the sandwich and salad were very filling on their own. The sandwich, in particular, is heavy and very filling.

I’m a salad guy, so the marinated artichoke salad has become a staple of my orders every time I visit KURUMI. I think it’s fresh and excellent.

I’ve also ordered the below item a few times now. This is KURUMI’s burrito bowl. It has brown rice, activated adzuki beans in tomato sauce, avocado, tortilla, baked sweet potato, roasted veggies, fermented cashew cheese, salsa, and seeds. This has a lot of different flavors going on and is very filling, too.

I’ve also had the bean quesadilla and pasta salad. This is a combo I’ve ordered a few times now. I usually like to pair something more hearty with something lighter and fresher. Again, both of these items are pretty filling on their own.

I recently decided to try another new dish at KURUMI: the yellow Thai curry with brown rice and tofu. The dish also has organic coconut milk, pumpkin, sweet potato, tomato, red bell, eggplant, zucchini, mushroom, cilantro, and green onions. I thought this was great, too, and very filling.

KURUMI also offers the option to create your own food or add extra items to the dishes. You can add several dozen items, including mixed nuts and seeds, garlic croutons, fresh veggies, quinoa, fruits, edamame, chickpea tempeh, marinated artichokes, and many more choices.

They also offer a variety of drinks. There’s coffee and different lattes with organic coconut or cashew milk. They have teas, immunity smoothies with veggies, cashew milkshakes, and fresh juices.

They also have many vegan dessert items, including raw, homemade chocolate, orange chocolate cheesecake, raw tiramisu, passion mango cheesecake, and many other options.
