I’ve been on the hunt for cool cafes in Da Nang lately (see NAM House Cafe) and discovered Brewman Coffee Concept in Hai Chau.
Hai Chau is one of Da Nang’s cityside districts, but you can easily access the cafe by hiring a Grab taxi or riding a scooter. The cafe is at the end of a quiet alley. It’s somewhat of a retreat in the middle of the busy city.
FYI, there’s a newer family-run Vietnamese restaurant in the same alley. I’ve eaten here several times recently. It’s called Mai Pho.

For a food-related guide, here’s my article on great places to eat in Da Nang. If you’re looking for things to do, see my guide here.

Getting to Brewman Coffee Concept

Brewman Coffee Concept is in the Hai Chau District of Da Nang. The nearby Bach Dang and Tran Phu Streets are both popular areas to stay in Da Nang.
If you stay on the city side, you can easily walk to the coffee shop. You’ll have to take a taxi if you’re over the bridge by Da Nang’s beaches — My Khe Beach, the My An area, or any of the An Thuong Streets. I recommend using the Grab app. You can download the Grab app here.
If you have your own scooter, there are plenty of easy and free motorbike parking spaces outside the coffee shop.
Brewman Coffee Concept

Brewman has a good selection of coffee and other drinks at fair prices. The prices you see above are on par with most coffee shops in Da Nang. Click the photos to expand.
They provide free fresh water to customers.
In my photos below, I had the Vietnam Filter from the Hand-Drip category for 40.000 VND and the Salt Coffee from the Traditional category for 38.000 VND. The coffee was made fresh when I ordered it.
The coffee was great — pretty much what I expected. Drip-filter coffee is one of the must-tries in Vietnam. Many of these artisanal coffee shops know what they’re doing. Did you know that Vietnam is the second-largest coffee producer in the world?

Brewman has a small seating area out front that’s protected from the sun with a canopy and umbrellas. Inside, there are two floors, but the second floor is on the smaller side — so maybe one and a quarter floors.
The bathroom is on the first floor. As you’ll see from my photos, there are some tables where you can work on your laptop. But it isn’t the most comfortable seating for long stays.
I went here on a Saturday afternoon, and it was pretty quiet.

They have fans and air conditioning, but it was a bit hot when I recently visited. I’m not sure if the AC was on, but the fans were good enough. If I were to stay longer or work on my laptop for a bit, I’d probably ask about the air conditioning.
If you’re looking for a quiet cafe with friendly staff in the city (not by the beach), check Brewman out in Hai Chau.
