The best supermarkets in Da Nang are spread around the cityside and beachside. For as long as I’ve lived in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, my two favorite grocery stores have been Mega Market and Lotte Mart.
I’ve found these two supermarket brands have the biggest selection and widest variety, plus many non-food items, so I don’t need to visit multiple stores. Below are my favorite supermarkets in Da Nang.
MM Mega Market Da Nang
Address: Google Maps • Website

Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Free and convenient parking | Need a motorbike or taxi to get here |
Very quiet, rarely crowded | Limited coffee selection |
ATMs on-site | |
Huge food and non-food selection |
Mega Market is the best supermarket in Da Nang. It’s set up like a big warehouse, similar to Costco or Sam’s Club. It is in the cityside of Da Nang in the Cam Le District.
I say this is the best supermarket for several reasons. First, getting in and out of Mega Market is smooth and easy because it’s a standalone store (not inside a shopping mall). The motorbike and car parking lots are right out front, and parking is free.

Compared to other supermarkets on my list, which are situated within malls, the overall shopping experience here is much more streamlined. Plus, the grocery stores in malls tend to be much more crowded.
Whenever I come here, it’s quiet, and moving around the store is a breeze.

Everything you need for a short vacation or to live long-term in Da Nang can be found here.
As far as food, there’s everything – way too much to cover entirely. There are tons of snacks, instant noodles, fresh-cut meats, a bakery, fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh fish, a big liquor section, and more. They also have the biggest frozen food section among grocery stores on my list.

Nearly half the store is non-food items. If you rent a house or apartment, you’ll find every kind of home good to get you started. This includes toiletries, clothes, clothes hangers, bath towels, pots, pans, kettles, cups/bowls/silverware, cleaning supplies, office supplies, small carpets and rugs, etc.
They have several checkout lanes at the end; like I said, it’s hardly ever crowded.

My advice when grocery shopping in Vietnam is to go during the day (during the week, not Saturday or Sunday), sometime between 10 AM and 3 PM. You’ll practically have the store to yourself.

Lotte Mart Da Nang
Address: Google Maps • Website

Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Big selection of non-food items | Need a motorbike or taxi to get here |
Everything under one roof for all shopping needs | Can get crowded |
ATMs on-site | |
Pharmacy on the building’s third floor | |
Free parking |
I first discovered this Lotte Mart in 2018. It is just across the Tien Son Bridge in Hai Chau. If you are heading to the Mega Market from the beachside, you’ll pass by the Lotte Mart.
The supermarket is inside a five-floor mini shopping center.
If you are taking a taxi, like GrabCar or GrabBike, they’ll drop you off right out front. But if you have your own motorbike, you’ll need to go around back. Motorbike parking is free.

The ground floor of this shopping center has a KFC, Lotteria (fast food), Highlands Coffee, a hot pot restaurant, and a money exchanger. There are ATMs outside the front entrance of the shopping center.
Lotte Mart is on Floors 3 and 4 of the building. You’ll need to take an elevator or a few escalators to access it. There are escalators on every floor, and there is an escalator inside Lotte Mart as well.
Floor 3 (the first floor of Lotte Mart) has all the home goods: toiletries, cups, bowls, plates, cleaning supplies, towels, pillows, toiletries, cosmetics, detergent, etc. They also have a pretty big section for clothes, including T-shirts, shorts, underwear, socks, and more.

Floor 4 (the second floor of Lotte Mart) is the food. The selection is huge, and you should find every food or drink item you’re looking for. There’s fresh fruit and vegetables, a bakery, fresh fish, a large coffee and tea section, tons of instant noodles, snacks, dairy, frozen food, and more.

There is also an area inside the supermarket where you can sit and order/eat food. They have premade sushi to go and a lot of hot meal choices.

GO! (Big C)
Address: Google Maps • Website

Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Full-service supermarket | In a busy and crowded area |
Big selection of non-food items | More difficult getting in/out |
ATMs on-site | Paid parking (2.000 VND) |
Sit and eat area inside GO! |
The GO! Supermarket used to be called Big C until the Central Group purchased and rebranded the stores.
It is in the Thanh Khe District of Da Nang. Like Lotte Mart, the grocery store is within a mini-mall, the Parkson Da Nang. The mini-mall has a KFC, a Lotteria, other fast food and restaurants, a movie theater, and a handful of retail stores.
There are ATMs inside.

If you are staying anywhere near the northern area of Da Nang’s cityside, this is the closest and best full-service supermarket.
The downside is that this can be a chaotic and busy area. The mini-mall can be annoying to get in and out of and to navigate. But the supermarket inside has everything you’ll need.
Motorbike parking is 2.000 VND.

To access the GO!, which begins on Floor 2 of Parkson Mall, you’ll take an elevator or a few escalators.
Floor 2 has all the food items, and Floor 3 has the home goods. Like Lotte Mart, an escalator inside GO! connects the supermarket’s two floors.

The food and home goods selection here is somewhat comparable to Lotte Mart. Both supermarkets also have a sit-and-eat area, where you can order food and drinks and relax inside the supermarket.

But, as I said, this is the best choice if you stay in the northern cityside of Da Nang. If you are closer to the southern city side, choose Lotte Mart instead.

WinMart (Vincom Plaza)
Address: Google Maps • Website

Pros | Cons |
---|---|
On Da Nang’s beachside | Small selection overall compared to Mega Market and Lotte Mart |
Inside one of the nicer shopping malls | Paid parking (4.000 VND) |
Can be combined with retail shopping | |
Escalator provides direct access | |
ATMs on-site |
The WinMart is inside the Vincom Plaza shopping mall in Son Tra on Da Nang’s beachside. WinMart is a chain of convenience stores, but some locations, like this one, are full-service grocery stores.
Vincom Plaza has several retail stores, including H&M, LYN, Levi’s, Crocs, Adidas, Filas, Sketchers, Charles & Keith, and more.

The WinMart supermarket is on the second floor of the mall.
The selection of food and non-food items is smaller than that of other stores on my list, but it covers the basics. They have all the usual dairy products, fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen food, and more.
They also sell non-food items such as clothes, detergents, cleaning products, etc., but the overall selection is smaller.

Mega Market or Lotte Mart is best for non-food items and more variety.
If you only want to access the supermarket here and aren’t concerned with the mall, an escalator inside the parking garage takes you in and out of WinMart’s back entrance. Motorbike parking is 4.000 VND.

Co.opmart (Son Tra)
Address: Google Maps • Website

Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Very quiet | Small selection overall compared to Mega Market and Lotte Mart |
Easy option in Son Tra | Paid parking (2.000 VND) |
Full-service grocery | |
Decent selection of non-food items (appliances, cleaning supplies, clothes) |
Co.opmart is a chain of supermarkets in Vietnam. They aren’t as big as Mega Market or Lotte Mart but cover the basics of food and non-food items.
This Co.opmart location is on the northern end of Son Tra, Da Nang’s beachside.
It is quick and easy to get in and out, and parking my motorbike out front is hassle-free. Motorbike parking costs 2.000 VND.

There is also a Lotteria fast food restaurant inside.
This supermarket is the only other standalone grocery store on my list besides MM Mega Market. It isn’t in a shopping mall and is very quiet, so shopping here is a breeze.

If I was staying on the northern half of Da Nang’s beachside or anywhere near this supermarket, this is the one I would go to.
Visiting during the day (and during the week) is a smooth and hassle-free shopping experience. Nice and quiet.
